For a traditional button-and-loop clip, place the button behind a suitable reinforced stocking top, bring the fabric-covered button through the wide opening, then slide it into the narrow end. Rehearse on your actual pieces before getting dressed.
This describes a common fastening, not every Misty Lorette product. If your hardware is different, follow its own instructions. Decorative thigh garters and stocking-support clips are not interchangeable.
Secure the belt comfortably and loosen the straps. Find the stocking's reinforced top, often called the welt. Keep the strap untwisted. Do not attach a clip to the fine sheer leg or an open fishnet hole.
Check: your specific stocking top and fastening are suitable for one another. A thick silicone-backed stay-up band may not fit the clip.
Open the button-and-loop fastening. Place the flexible button behind the reinforced top, with the loop on the outside. Lay the fabric smoothly over the button without stretching or bunching it.
Check: the stocking fabric lies between the button and the outer loop.
Bring the fabric-covered button through the loop's wider opening, then slide it into the narrower end to secure it. Fasten each suitable clip. Do not force a fastening that will not close comfortably.
Check: the button is seated and the reinforced top is held without snagging or crushing.
Adjust the straps for gentle tension. Sit, stand and walk in the complete outfit. If the belt pulls down, a clip opens or the fabric strains, stop and reassess the fit, strap length and compatibility.
Check: comfort and closure through movement, not just while standing in front of the mirror.
